VietNamNet Bridge – Half the men in Ha Noi are addicted to smoking tobacco, according to Viet Nam Steering Committee on Smoking and Health.

Although Ha Noi has carried out activities to change people's attitudes towards smoking, the challenge was increasing, the committee said.

It warned on Tuesday that the violation of no-smoking regulations in workplaces and public places was high.

Early this year, a comprehensive anti-smoking campaign launched by the committee attracted the participation of government and social organisations.
