According to details given by the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, the film festival will feature the latest movies released in Japan over recent years, including “Not Quite Dead Yet”, “My Boyfriend in Orange”, and “Wedding High”.

The films cover several different topics and genres which depicts the colourful life of Japanese people. It will therefore help Vietnamese people and international friends to gain a greater understanding of Japanese culture.

The screenings will be organised at the National Cinema Centre in Hanoi, Galaxy Nguyen Kim Cinema in Hai Phong, Metiz Cinema in Da Nang, and Cinestar Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City.

The event is being held as part of activities aimed at celebrating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations which began back in 1973.
