This compelling documentary, which is set in a school in rural France, is about an inspirational teacher. The single-class primary school, which consists of one teacher and a class of 12 pupils aged four to 11, is in the Auvergne – historically the poorest and most bucolic region of France.
Offering a touching and absorbing look at the heart of a village community, the film was a cinema hit which was warmly received by critics and won numerous awards, including a BAFTA and a European Film Award.
The movie will be presented in French with English subtitles. The screening will start at 7pm at Heritage Space Library, Level 1, Dolphin Plaza, 28 Tran Binh Street, My Dinh 2, Nam Tu Liem District. There will be a follow-up discussion at the end of the screening.
