An attempt by both lecturers and students to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Rat, the exhibition, which is entitled Flying Pieces of Silk, will showcase thematic works of the students majoring in Silk Art at the university that have been selected over the past two years.
The silk artworks not only present the individual concepts of each artist, but also demonstrate their improvements in silk painting techniques.
According to the exhibition’s curator, painter Nguyen The Son – one of Vietnam’s leading artists, the exhibition aims to introduce the professional practices of the students and thus cultivate further interest in a traditional art of young generations of artists. The event is also expected to give them more motivation for their creative careers ahead.
