Today, June 9th, the Binh Tan district police in coordination with specialized units of the Ho Chi Minh City police are actively investigating the scene of a rental room fire in Binh Tri Dong ward that resulted in the loss of one woman's life.
Preliminary reports suggest that at approximately 4 am this morning, residents were startled by a loud explosion in alley 357 Tan Hoa Dong, Binh Tri Dong ward, Binh Tan district. Upon investigation, they found a room within the row of rental rooms ablaze, accompanied by the strong odor of gasoline.
Swiftly, individuals armed with mini fire extinguishers rushed to contain the blaze. Concerned for their safety, occupants of the boarding house were promptly evacuated.
In a matter of minutes, authorities from Binh Tri Dong ward and local residents successfully brought the fire under control and extinguished it.
Tragically, upon inspection of the boarding house, responders discovered the lifeless body of a woman. Additionally, one individual sustained burn injuries while assisting in extinguishing the flames and has been hospitalized for treatment.
Presently, authorities are diligently probing the cause of this devastating incident.
