VietNamNet Bridge – On Wednesday, the Z121 factory delivered fireworks to 24 provinces and cities for the New Year’s Eve firework shows 2014, on midnight January 30, 2014.

Colonel Nguyen Duc Tung, from the General Department of Logistics under the Ministry of Defense, said that from the afternoon of January 22, fireworks were transported from the Z121 Factory to 22 provinces and cities throughout the country. Firework transportation is carried out by soldiers of the Brigade 971.

The provinces and cities that will receive fireworks from the Z121 factory include 22 in the north and two in the central region (Quang Binh, Quang Tri), totaling 3,500 middle-range firework frames and 1,000 high-range mortars.

The General Department of Defense Industry will deliver fireworks for 37 provinces and cities in the central region and the southern region with about 8,000 medium-range firework frames and 6,100 high-range mortars.

Four provinces will not have firework shows this Tet, including Son La, Ha Giang, Thai Binh in the north and Long An in the south.

The cities and provinces with the largest fireworks shows this New Year's Eve are Hanoi with 1,440 medium-range frames and 3,100 high-range mortars, Ho Chi Minh City with 360 and 1,000, Haiphong with 315 and 1,000 and Can Tho with 90 and 1,000.

At the transfer moment between 2013 and 2014, Hanoi will hold fireworks shows at 29 places, including five high-range and 24 low-range shows.

The places for high-range fireworks shows are Hoan Kiem Lake (in front of the Hanoi Post Office and the headquarters of the New Ha Noi Newspaper), Thong Nhat Park (Hai Ba Trung District), Lac Long Quan flower garden (Tay Ho District) and Van Quan Lake (Ha Dong district).

It is expected that 500 shots will be released at each place, within 15 minutes.   

Hoan Kiem Lake will be the center of the New Year's Eve fireworks shows.

The 24 low-range fireworks shows will be held in the centers of the districts of Ba Dinh, Hoang Mai, Long Bien, Dong Da, Cau Giay, Thanh Xuan, Gia Lam, Me Linh, Ba Vi, Dan Phuong, Thach That, Chuong My, Thuong Tin, Quoc Oai, Phu Xuyen, My Duc, Ung Hoa, Dong Anh, Soc Son, Phuc Tho, Thanh Oai, Hoai Duc, Thanh Tri and Son Tay town.

In HCM City, firework displays will be held at seven locations at midnight on Lunar New Year’s Eve, including: Saigon’s underground tunnel (District 2), Dam Sen Culture Park (District 11); National Historical – Cultural Park (District 9); Ben Duoc Memorial Temple (Cu Chi District); Can Gio Stadium (Hoc Mon District), Nga Ba Giong Revolutionary Martyr Memorial (Hoc Mon District), and Historical Site of Lang Le – Bau Co (Binh Chanh District).
