VietNamNet Bridge – About 18 puppetry troupes will be performing at the first national puppetry festival from Monday to Saturday in the northern province of Hai Duong.
Audiences will get the chance to see traditional puppetry acts and stages.


The Performing Arts Department, the Viet Nam Stage Artists Association and the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism are organising the event.


Nguyen Dang Chuong, vice director of the Performing Arts Department, said the festival was among a number of planned events to preserve and promote traditional Vietnamese arts.
