VietNamNet Bridge – Nguyen Tran Anh Tuan won the first silver medal in weight-lifting event for Vietnam at the Asian Young Games which is being held in China.

In Judo event, Nguyen Thanh Tam (55kg category men’s event) was defeated by Ahmadi Jawad from Afghanistan at the first qualifying round while Nguyen Minh Thu (44kg women’s event) was trounced by Nazarova Ulyana from Turkmenistan.

In badminton event, both Pham Cao Cuong and Do Duc Tuan were excluded from the first round while Nguyen Thuy Linh luckily entered the second round as her rival from Nepal failed to join the event.

Table tennis player Thu Ha beat Novita Oktariyani from Indonesia 3-0 while Ta Hong Khanh was lost 0-3 before Huang Chien Tu from Taiwan (China).
