The Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) has decided to allow its member - the International University to train PhD holders in Business Administration.

This is the first university in the country which has implemented PhD training programs in English. Rector of International University, Dr. Ho Thanh Phong said at present, almost all PhD training programs on Business Administration in the country has been taught in Vietnamese. As a result, a large number of PhD holders are not capable of conducting research and applying advanced teaching methods independently. They also encountered difficulties in using foreign languages, particularly English.

The training program is developed basing on PhD traing programs from the world’s leading universities such as Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University, USA), MIT Sloan School Management (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA) Chicago University (USA), New South Wales University and Melbourne University of Australia.

This year, International University is expected to recruit 20 students for its PHD training programs in May and October.

Currently, the International University has a teaching staff of 5 professors, 14 associate professors, 72 PhD holders, 83 Master holders graduated from the world’s leading universities.
