The US-Vietnam Friendship Festival will take place at the Imperial Thang Long Citadel in Hanoi from 12 - 6 pm, featuring traditional American and Vietnamese games, arts and crafts, sports, and STEM activities.

A wide variety of booths will showcase information about bilateral cooperation in diverse fields including health, environment, education, business, and culture. Through engagement with US Embassy representatives, festival participants may also learn more about traveling to the United States, studying English, US businesses in Vietnam, and applying for exchange programs, education scholarships and jobs at the US Mission.

The festival will also feature musical performances by local schools and universities, singing and dancing exhibitions by American volunteers, and demonstrations of American and Vietnamese culture. Participants will enjoy special performances by US hip-hop Arts Envoy Adrienne Mack-Davis and the Bamboo Orchestra directed by Dong Quang Vinh.

Entry is free of charge and activities are suitable for families and children of all ages. Both American and Vietnamese food will be available for sale. Thanks to the donations of the festival’s generous sponsors, select prizes and giveaways will also be available.

Prior to the public festival, the US Embassy and VUFO will organise a seminar for academics, government representatives, and key partners. The seminar will reflect on the evolution of the bilateral relationship and its future following the historic upgrade to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership announced by President Joe Biden and General Secretary of the Communist Party Nguyen Phu Trong during President Biden’s September 10-11 visit to Hanoi.

The US-Vietnam Friendship Festival is a unique event highlighting the breadth and depth of cooperation between the two countries and reflects our shared desire to promote mutual understanding through cultural engagement.
