1. Binh Duong win four games with one lineup

2. Hai Phong set record with four-game clean sheet

LG Hai Phong became the first team to keep a clean sheet in the first four matches of the V-League season owing to their extremely solid defence line. Two V-League powerhouses, SHB Da Nang and Hanoi T&T held each other to a draw for the first time in history after sharing a point at Chi Lang Stadium on Wednesday. Of their previous meetings, seven victories went to Da Nang while the remaining six were seized by the capital’s team.

4. Limited goals recorded

Just 15 goals were scored in the seven January 21 matches, making Round 4 a round of the fewest goals since the season beginning (Round 1: 23 goals; Round 2: 20 goals and Round 3: 29 goals). Noticeably, there were three clashes finishing with just a solitary goal scored. Despite the limited goal tally, the fourth round competition took place in a dramatic and tense fashion.

5. Hoang Anh Gia Lai suffer third consecutive loss

Hoang Anh Gia Lai is no longer the phenomenon of this year’s V-League season. After their impressive opener, they disappointed with three consecutive losses against Dong Tam Long An, Thanh Hoa and LG Hai Phong. Maybe the generation of young players like Cong Phuong and Tuan Anh are still not experienced enough to play in the national top-tier football league.
