SHB Da Nang (in orange) is being immersed deeper in crisis in this year’s V-League season.

1. Hai Phong rally to top

Despite failing to maintain their clean record, LG Hai Phong won three straight points following their 4-2 victory over XSKT Can Tho and climbed to top spot of the 2015 V-League for the first time since the beginning of the season. Hai Phong is also the only team to maintain an unbeaten run after five rounds of play.

2. Binh Duong’s winning streak snapped

Becamex Binh Duong saw their impressive four-game winning streak end as they conceded a bitter 1-2 loss to Quang Ninh Coal in their fifth-round match at Go Dau Stadium on Sunday.

3. Round of the hosts

Round 5 proved to be a successful one for host teams as five victories and one draw were recorded in their favour. Becamex Binh Duong was the only team to miss out on points.

4. A third of goals scored in last five minutes

The fifth round was full of drama as it saw eight of the 24 goals scored in the last five minutes of play, most notably the clash at Tan An Stadium where hosts Dong Tam Long An struck three goals from the 86th to 90th minute to take a stunning 3-0 win against Dong Thap.

5. Da Nang immersed deeper in crisis

Former champions SHN Da Nang have yet to regain their rhythm in this year’s V-League season, standing still at the bottom of the standings with a solitary point following their fourth loss on Sunday. It is considered the worst crisis for the team since manager Le Huynh Duc took the post in 2008.
