Five Vietnamese billionaires in Forbes 2023 list.

According to the Forbes World's Billionaires list for 2023, the five richest Vietnamese people are Pham Nhat Vuong, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Tran Dinh Long, Ho Hung Anh, and Tran Ba Duong.

Pham Nhat Vuong, 54, is the owner of Vingroup which is the largest Vietnamese private conglomerate. He became the country's first billionaire and remains the nation’s richest man with a net worth of US$4.4 billion, duly ranking 628 in the world.

Vuong is followed by Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, 52, who is currently CEO of VietJet Air and is also cofounder and chairwoman of Sovico Holdings, a leading investment group in the country.

Her net worth is estimated to be US$2.1 billion, ranking as the 1385th richest person in the world.

Elsewhere on the list, 62-year-old Tran Dinh Long, founder and chairman of steelmaker Hoa Phat Corp, ranked in 1565th place with a net worth of US$1.9 billion.

Ho Hung Anh, the 52-year-old chairman of Techcombank, boasts a net worth of US$1.2 billion, ranking 2281st in the list.

Tran Ba Duong, 63, has a net worth of US$1.4 billion and is ranked 1943rd  among the elite club of billionaires. Duong founded Truong Hai (Thaco) in 1997 which initially sold cars and later started assembling cars for foreign brands such as Kia, Mazda, and Peugeot.
