According to the National Centre for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, many districts and cities in the northern region have received substantial rainfall since June 10.
During the day on June 11, there is a high risk of flash floods near rivers and streams as well as a risk of landslides on steep slopes in several areas, notably Phổ Yên in Thái Nguyên Province, Yên Minh in Hà Giang Province and Hà Quảng in Cao Bằng Province.
As flash floods and landslides can threaten lives, disrupt traffic and destroy facilities, people are advised to stay vigilant and closely monitor weather updates from official sources.
The weather forecast for June 11 states that people in the northwest region can expect a mix of clouds and sunshine throughout the day. There's a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, with a slight risk of tornadoes and strong winds. Temperatures will be pleasant, ranging from 23-27°C with highs potentially reaching 33°C in some areas.
Hà Nội City is forecast to experience similar conditions to the northwest region, with temperatures ranging from 26°C to 34°C.
