VietNamNet Bridge – The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) has decided to fine a flight crew of Vietnam Airlines who invited actress and former Vietnam Tourism Ambassador Ly Nha Ky to the cockpit.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Thang, CAAV chief inspector, said the decision was issued this morning, May 10, to punish the crew on the flight VN595 from Hong Kong to Ho Chi Minh City on April 11.
The decision came after some photos featuring Ly Nha Ky posing in the cockpit with crew members were posted on the Internet.
According to a representative of the CCAV, allowing persons who are not crew members to enter the cockpit is contrary to the principle of flight safety and the Law on Civil Aviation of Vietnam. In this case, the fault is blamed on the crew.
The two pictures of Ly Nha Ky in the cockpit were firstly posted on her personal blog. The next day, she removed them but the photos have spread on the net.
Ly Nha Ky said the incident was a long time ago and she did not want to talk about it. However, she felt guilty because the pilot was fined.
