
Nguyen Minh Giam, deputy director of the Southern Region Hydrometeorology Station, said that the current flood is the highest level in the last nine years. The downstream region of the Mekong Delta is facing flood.
Experts forecast that by the end of September, upstream flood and high tide can make upstream flood in the Tien and Hau rivers can exceed the third alarming level.
Giam said that in the upcoming days, the southern region will have rain in the evening. Partial floods can appear in some southwestern provinces which have sloppy terrains.
