The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has asked for more medical staff to support its COVID-19 prevention and control efforts.

Old floodplains in HCM City still have not been cleared, while new flood sites continue to appear.

Dutch experts have proposed building dykes to control flooding in HCMC’s districts 2 and 9 at a total estimated cost of US$1.2 billion, said HCMC Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan.
