Hip hop was introduced in Vietnam many years ago and it has been favored by the youth. However, hip hop is still considered the underground art. Most of hip hop contests in Vietnam are held spontaneously for amateur artists. That is why hip hop still lacks professional playing fields.

Floor Killer is open to all professional and amateur dancers, both Vietnamese and foreigners. The tournament will take place on July 13-14 at the Savico Megamall Trade Center (No. 9 Nguyen Van Linh, Long Bien District, Hanoi).

Contestants will compete in six genres of hip hop: breaking, popping, hip hop, waacking, locking and house. Teams and individuals will compete directly in the form of knock-out.

The competition, the third of its type, is held by Big Toe Crew, the oldest and leading hip hop dance group in Vietnam.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Thanh, the leader of Big Toe group, wanted his company to turn Floor Killer into a professional playground for the youth and art enthusiasts and to bring hip hop closer to the public.
