A tower has been set up at Sa Dec flower village in the southern province of Dong Thap to help visitors observe the whole village from above.
Local resident Tran Huu Tai in Tan Quy Dong Ward, Sa De City built the VND1.5 billion (USD65,217) platform. It is 18 metres high and can accommodate 30 people.
Visitors are provided with binoculars so that they can see the entire village.
Beneath the tower are dozens of flower baskets for visitors to enjoy.
The tower is open from 6 am to 9 pm every day. Tickets are VND20,000 for 20 minutes.
Sa Dec flower village is home to around 2,300 households that chiefly earn a living by growing flowers and ornamental trees. Some 500 hectares with more than 2,000 different varieties of flowers and trees were grown in the village last year.
Sa Dec City, the largest supplier of flowers to southern provinces, has signed a memorandum of understanding to co-operate with the Dutch city of Emmen on hi-tech agricultural development.
