Hang Luoc Street in the Old Quarter of Hanoi is famous for its Tet market with various types of peach branches and trees, kumquat trees and other flowers from Hanoi’s famous flower villages.

The street is busy and crowded with buyers and visitors. Many people who came to the street just want to enjoy the atmosphere as well. In the past recent years, traders at Hang Luoc Street have only displayed small to medium-sized peach branches or kumquat trees.

This year, small peach branches are favoured. They are sold for VND50,000 (USD2.21) to VND70,000 and can easily find a place on an altar. Bigger peach branches cost from VND200,000 to VND400,000.

A small trimmed and shaped kumquat tree in a vase can cost VND900,000 (USD40).

Due to the size of the market, traders also display their flowers on Hang Ruoi, Hang Chai and Hang Ma streets. However, Hang Ma Street has more lanterns, red envelopes for lucky moneys and parralel sentences. Antique items are displayed on Hang Luoc and Hang Ma streets.
