VietNamNet Bridge – A food and agricultural producer based in Central Highland Lam Dong Province's Duc Trong District has been detected discharging untreated waste water into a local stream, the provincial Environmental Police Department reported on Tuesday.

The company produces 5 tonnes of frozen vegetables and fruit per day and has a waste treatment system, treating 300cu.m per day.

However, the system was not used and another system discharges untreated waste water underground directly into Tam Da Stream in the same district.

The case remains under investigation.
