VietNamNet Bridge – Two people died and two others were hospitalised due to suspected food poisoning in the northern province of Yen Bai, the provincial People’s Committee reported.

Nguyen Cao Cuong, chairman of the committee, yesterday (April 11) said the victims belonged to a family living in Van Chan District’s Nghia Tam Commune.
A member of the victims’ family said four people were taken to hospital after eating at noon.
The local authorities were working with related agencies to find out what led to the food poisoning and to support the victims’ family with burial arrangements.
Meanwhile, on the same day, a hospital in District 7 in HCM City received 49 workers with symptoms of food poisoning, director of the hospital Tran Du Dong said.
Most of the victims, who worked at the Dong Minh Textile Ltd Co., were stable. One person was still in hospital for further treatment.
After lunch at the company, many people experienced abdominal pain and started vomiting, a worker recounted.
The cause of the food poisoning has still not been discovered.
