VietNamNet Bridge – Chen Yun Fat, chief coach of the national women’s football squad has agreed to extend his contract with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) for another year.

Chen celebrated Vietnam's glory at AFF Cup 2012.
The agreement was reached during a meeting between Chen and the VFF late last week. Both sides discussed a tentative plan for the national squad in 2013, especially at the 27th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) to be held in Myanmar.
A VFF representative says the federation wants to work on a long-term contract with Chen to help Vietnam qualify for the upcoming World Cup 2015 scheduled for Canada.
Under the Chinese coach, the national women’s football squad triumphed at the 25th Southeast Asian Games in Laos in 2009 and the recent ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup 2012.
Chen is spending leave with his family in China where he will work with his managing club Dalian before returning to Vietnam to sign the new contract with the VFF.
His two-year contract with the VFF terminated on September 30, 2012.
