Vietnam defeated UAE at the clash of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers which took place at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi on Thursday evening at 1-0.

To mark the national team’s achievement, people flocked into many main streets in Hanoi even at the late night.

Members of Vietnam’s national football team have received a bonus worth over VND2 billion after enjoying a 1-0 victory over the UAE in Group G of the Asian zone’s second qualifying round for the World Cup 2022 on November 14.

Of the overall figure, VND1 billion came from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), while the other VND1 billion came from a donation made by V.T. Group.

As the game’s match winner, forward Tien Linh also received a personal bonus of VND400 million from sponsors.

The awarding of a cash incentive follows a trend, with the VFF also giving a prize of VND1.8 billion to the Vietnamese national team after their wins over Malaysia and Indonesia.

Despite the crucial victory the national squad will not have time to enjoy their win as training continues immediately, with the team’s focus now on the upcoming match against Thailand on November 19.
