VietNamNet Bridge – Business operations abroad brought a profit of VND592.2 billion (US$28.2 million) for Viettel Global Investment Joint Stock Company in its 2013 third quarter, according to the firm's report.

The Viettel Corporation member gained VND3.1 trillion ($147.6 million) in revenue in the third quarter. Its total revenue reached nearly VND7.9 trillion ($376.1 million) in the first nine months, over a third more (35.2 per cent) than the same period last year.
The report shows that its nine-month total assets increased by VND5 trillion ($238 million), reaching more than VND21.4 trillion ($1.01 billion).
Viettel Global invests in telecommunications in Laos, Cambodia, Timor Leste, Mozambique, Cameroon and Haiti. Apart from Cameroon, where the company suffered a loss of VND57.8 billion ($2.7 million), the remaining markets have brought it profits.
Cambodia contributes the largest amount of profits with VND277.3 billion ($13.2 million), followed by Mozambique with VND178.3 billion ($8.4 million).
Viettel Global has six subsidiaries, including Viettel Overseas, Viettel Cambodia, Movitel, Viettel Timor Leste and Viettel Cameroon.
