The Standing Committee of the Hue Party Committee has decided to expel Tran Nhon Vuong, former Deputy Head of the People’s Procuracy of Hue City, from the Party for serious violations related to anti-corruption regulations.

The decision was made during the committee’s regular March meeting for the 2025-2030 term, which addressed several key matters, including disciplinary action against Vuong.

Vuong, a member of Party Cell 4 in Truong An ward under the Thuan Hoa ward Party Committee, previously held multiple positions. These included member of the Party Executive Committee of the city’s agencies and enterprises bloc, member of the Party Civil Affairs Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Deputy Head of the People’s Procuracy of Hue City.

According to the committee’s conclusions, while serving as Deputy Head of the People’s Procuracy of Thua Thien Hue province - now the People’s Procuracy of Hue City - Tran Nhon Vuong showed a lack of moral discipline and self-cultivation, with degradation in political ideology, ethics and lifestyle.

He was found to have committed serious violations of Party regulations and State laws on anti-corruption and misconduct.

Vuong has been prosecuted by the Investigation Agency of the Supreme People’s Procuracy, formally charged and placed under a travel restriction.

The Standing Committee concluded that his violations had negatively affected the reputation of Party organizations, agencies and units, diminished his personal credibility and rendered him unfit to remain a Party member.

Based on the nature, severity and consequences of the violations, and in accordance with Party regulations, the committee decided to impose the disciplinary measure of expulsion from the Party.

At the same meeting, the Standing Committee of the Hue Party Committee also reviewed and concluded several other important matters in line with its working regulations.
