According to a prosecutor, Dinh well observed the rules of the detention. He was given commuted sentence twice, with 6 months each and this time he was released from jail.
However, Dinh will be still subject to local arrest for three years.
In early 2010, Dinh was sentenced to five years in prison for activities aimed at overthrowing the people's government by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court. Also in the case, three other defendants are subject to 5-16 years in prison on the same charges.
The authorities determined that the former lawyer and other characters involved in an anti-state organization called "Democratic Party of Vietnam".
The group used information technology to produce and diffuse documents with the content against the state and the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Dinh was also alleged to be responsible for the establishment of the so-called "Labor Party of Vietnam" to concentrate forces and participate in training courses on the method of "non-violence" against Vietnam, which were held in Thailand.
