Dr. Vu Tien Loc was born on January 1, 1960, in Thuy Phong Commune, Thai Thuy District, Thai Binh Province.

Throughout his tenure as a National Assembly delegate and Chairman of VCCI, Loc was known for his significant contributions to the legislative arena and the development of the business community. He played a crucial role in improving the legal and investment environment and advancing Vietnam's integration into the global economy.

He was directly involved in promoting the implementation of free trade agreements and chaired numerous national trade and investment promotion activities. His efforts helped attract foreign investment projects to Vietnam and boost the country's exports, guiding and supporting Vietnamese businesses and associations in international integration.

From 2003 to 2016, he served as the Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Chairman of the Central Council of Vietnamese Business Associations, and a National Assembly deputy for the XI, XII, and XIII sessions. He was also a member of the Economic and Budget Committee of the National Assembly during the XI session, the Economic Committee during the XII and XIII sessions, and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front during the VI, VII, and VIII sessions. Additionally, he was Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council on Administrative Procedure Reform of the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Vietnam Pacific Economic Cooperation Committee (VN PECC), and Chairman of the ASEAN Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

From 2016 to 2021, he served as Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of VCCI, Chairman of the Central Council of Vietnamese Business Associations, member of the Economic Committee of the National Assembly, Presidium member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman of the National Council for Sustainable Development and Competitiveness Enhancement, Vice Chairman of the Prime Minister's Advisory Council on Administrative Procedure Reform, Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Business Advisory Council (ABAC), and a member of the Leadership Board of the World Chambers Federation (WCF).

From July 2021 until now, Vu Tien Loc served as a deputy of the XV National Assembly and a member of the Economic Committee of the National Assembly. In September 2021, he was appointed Chairman of the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC).
