At around 11 a.m. the same day, eight people were found unconscious inside the home of Nguyen Quang L. in the Phong Thu market area of Dien Ban Tay Commune. Authorities and local residents had to break into the house to rescue the victims.

The four confirmed fatalities are: Nguyen Thi Th. (75 years old, Mr. L.’s mother), Nguyen Thi Thanh Th. (14, his daughter), Nguyen Cong Tr. (5, his son), and Nguyen Thi Thanh X. (19, a family friend).

“We are currently working on plans to support the family in arranging funerals for the deceased,” said Mr. Phong.

The remaining four victims are receiving emergency care at a local hospital: Nguyen Quang L. (36), his wife Phan Thi Tu Tr. (34), and their two daughters Nguyen Thi Thanh Tr. (11) and Nguyen Thi Thanh Th. (8).

Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation and examining the scene to determine the exact cause of the incident.
