The bodies of Ngo Le Ha, 45, his wife Tran Thi Nhung, 42, and sons Ngo Duy Tan, 23, and Ngo Quang Ninh, 12, were found in their house.

Head of the city police Colonel Nguyen Chi Phuong said they found a handwritten letter and an audio recording in mobile phones, which showed that the four persons had committed suicide because they were unable to pay their debts and wanted to "be together forever".

The case was under further investigation, Phuong said.

Earlier, relatives of the family had found it strange when they failed to contact anyone in the family and found all doors of the house shut.
