Chairman of the Board at FPT, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, has appointed the Vice President of Corporate Operations, Mr. Hoang Viet Anh, as the new CEO of FPT Software, replacing Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, who has resigned, effective from July 20.

Mr. Anh was born in 1975 and graduated from the Hanoi University of Science. He joined FPT Software as a programmer in 1996, when he was still a student and the company was just getting started.

In the 20 years since he has taken on many positions in Operations and Business Development functions and was formerly the Director of FPT Software Global Services.

Since its establishment FPT Software has had four CEOs: Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam (1999-2008), Ms. Bui Hong Lien (2009-2011), Mr. Lam (2012-July 2015), and now Mr. Anh.

The Board of Directors at FPT Software will be Chairman Hoang Nam Tien, CEO Hoang Viet Anh, and the three Vice Presidents of Corporate Operations - Mr. Nguyen Khai Hoan, Mr. Do Van Khac, and Mr. Tran Dang Hoa.

FPT Software targets recording $1 billion in revenue by 2020. Developing software is its second-most profitable endeavor, just after telecommunications. Its pre-tax profit in telecommunications in 2014 was VND3.58 trillion ($164 million) and after-tax profit VND520 billion ($23.8 million). Its largest markets are Japan, the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
