In August alone, FPT's revenue and pre-tax profit reached VND2.3 trillion and VND454 billion, an increase of more than 17 per cent and 30 per cent compared to the same period last year.

In the first 8 months, post-tax profit reached VND2.5 trillion, up 27 per cent year-on-year. EPS (earnings per share) were VND2,961, up 29 per cent year-on-year. The profit margin continued to improve, reaching 17.6 per cent compared to 16.6 per cent in the first 8 months of 2018.

The company’s technology segment recorded growth of 43.4 per cent, acting as the main growth engine. The segment recorded revenue and pre-tax profit of VND9.5 trillion and VND1.2 trillion, respectively, up nearly 26 per cent and 43.4 per cent over the same period last year.

The telecom sector reported VND6.7 trillion in revenue and VND1.1 trillion in pre-tax profit.

Foreign markets helped FPT earned VND7.2 trillion in revenue and VND1.14 trillion in pre-tax profit, up by nearly 31 per cent and 34.3 per cent over the same period last year. — VNS
