The exhibition is an exploration of identities through art and dialogue about an intimate subject of the family sphere which is unnamed in the public space.

It features concerns of young generations who are striving to understand their family history, but facing the loss of those who kept the memory of the family story.

The project also shows how identity is built in the 21st century, and ways to pass on French-Vietnamese heritage to newest generations.

The exhibition allows visitors to follow the rustling of voices, the joy, and the laughter of generations when entering the museum.

Sévat-Denuet’s “Non Dénommé” project is the result of a two-month residency at Villa Saigon, an art residency program launched by the French Institute of Việt Nam in HCM City aimed at artists or collectives of French nationality or residing in France who are professionally engaged in contemporary creation.

Sévat-Denuet is from Réunion Island and is self-taught in many different fields.

He has researched multi-dimensional approaches to conveying history, combining historical knowledge and artistic creation, and transmitting appropriate information in public spaces.

The exhibition will open until June 30. The museum is at 202 Võ Thị Sáu Street in District 3.— VNS
