Believed to have been cast in the ancient city of Hue from 1405-1585, an ancient colossal bell regarded as one of the most prized cultural relics of its time will be sold to the highest bidder on June 7-8 in Paris, France.
French collector Gérard Chapuis, who is of Vietnamese heritage, said the antique bronze bell to be sold at the Rouillac Auction House stands 108cm high and has a diameter of 126cm.
Chapuis said the precious relic is moulded with curving, gentle, symmetric pairs of dragons creating well-balanced and harmonious beauty.
