VietNamNet Bridge – The Khoai Dong Church, the Nguyen Khuyen School, the Nam Dinh Textile Factory are among construction works built by French men in the northern city of Nam Dinh.

The Khoai Dong Church was built in 1934. This is the only one Roman dome church in Vietnam. Its original name is St. Nicholas Church, one of the two churches in Vietnam that worship St. Nicholas. The other church is Con Ga in Da Lat city.

The church, located near the Vi Xuyen Lake, has become a symbol of Nam Dinh.

Being built in 1924, the Gothique-styled Nguyen Khuyen High School’s original name is Saint Thomas d’Aquin School.

The school is designed with corridors that enable convenient moving and schools are very quiet even during rainstorms.

Classrooms have wood floors and bronze doors.

The school is very cool even during hot days.

St. Alberto Seminary (the Nguyen Van Cu Primary School at present) was also

built by the French.

The building of the textile museum project management board is still in original design.

The Nam Dinh Textile Factory is a very famous construction of the French in Vietnam.

The factory has closed but it has become a historical relic.
