On the same day, Simonenko was received by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, who stressed that Viet Nam always remembered Ukraine's support and assistance over the past years, particularly during the country's struggle for independence.
Dung affirmed that Viet Nam would create favourable conditions for Ukrainian businesses to invest in Viet Nam.
In reply, Simoneko conveyed the wish of Ukrainian leaders to enhance co-operation with Viet Nam, particularly in trade, manufacturing and national defence.
He stressed that the two countries boasted huge potential in shipbuilding and the Ukrainian Party supported the military-run telecom group Viettel of Viet Nam in implementing an internet broadband project in Ukraine as well as the export of Vietnamese products to Ukraine.
The Party would also support Viet Nam in human resources training, he said.
On the same day, the Ukrainian delegation held talks with Hoang Binh Quan, a Party Central Committee member and Head of its Commission for Foreign Affairs. The two sides discussed measures to develop the relations between the two Parties and countries.
