Since April 29 when the fourth outbreak occurred, Thanh Xuan district has recorded 202 locally infected cases in 10 of 11 wards (except Thanh Xuan Nam). Thanh Xuan Trung ward has the highest number with 121 cases.
Since August 23, 112 infection cases were reported in this district, with 65 cases in alley 328 on Nguyen Trai Road.
This is one of the "hottest" outbreaks in Hanoi with complicated developments and a high infection rate.
In order to stamp out the outbreak in Thanh Xuan Trung ward in the shortest time, Thanh Xuan district has established a front-line command post for epidemic prevention and control in the isolated area (alley 328, alley 330 on Nguyen Trai Street), led by Nguyen Minh Tien, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Thanh Xuan District Party Committee.
The district has arranged 10 policemen, 10 militias, and 15 youth union members to stay in the blocked area and dozens of staff to guard the two alleys to ensure the enforcement of anti-pandemic measures in the areas. The district has also set up teams to provide essential goods and medical assistance to the people in the blocked areas.
All people in the blocked areas, totaling about 1,500 people, will be tested for the second time in the coming days.
