The 2015 Fulbright YSEALI Summer School is now open for applications from the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) members from all over Vietnam, according to an announcement by the U.S. Mission to Vietnam on June 8.

This program will host 160 YSEALI members from all over the country for two one-week sessions (from August 3-14, 2015, 80 members per week) at the Fulbright Economics Teaching Program (FETP) campus in HCMC.

Participants will deepen their knowledge about issues relating to the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and share their experience and perspectives to help Vietnam reach its fullest potential.

Moreover, the program will provide a comprehensive picture about the AEC and the challenges and opportunities for Vietnam, particularly for Vietnamese youth. An integral part of the program will focus on Vietnam’s socioeconomic foundations, its strengths and weaknesses, and global context and trends.

The participants will have the opportunity to enhance their fundamental soft skills such as creative thinking, communication, negotiation, teamwork and adaptation through a variety of soft skills training, inspirational speeches, games, and competitions.

Details about the application process are available at http://hochiminh.usconsulate.gov/yseali-summer-school-2015.html. The application deadline is 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 21, 2015.
