VietNamNet Bridge – The national futsal team will come together in early October for the Southeast Asian championship, the Viet Nam Football Federation said.

Players, most of them World Cup participants, will meet on October 2 in HCM City to train at Thai Son Nam Gymnasium.

The championship will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from October 31 to November 8.

Viet Nam is in Group A with East Timor, Brunei and hosts Thailand. Group B will include Myanmar, Laos, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia.

Viet Nam and Thailand are the two ASEAN representatives at the ongoing Colombian World Cup. They were, however, both eliminated from the final-16 round last week.

The two teams remain top candidates for the regional tournament.
