Many social media users complain that videos advertising gambling and betting, associated with the words ‘duoc tai tro’ (sponsored, i.e., money is paid for ads) have appeared on their Facebook wall. 

The sponsored gambling game ads are mostly short videos. Most ad accounts use foreign names, but the content of the videos is in Vietnamese. Ads about the game with the name ‘Sunwxx’ are seen in most videos.

To attract more players, the ads offer a lot of gifts, such as VND200,000 for every player. 

The ads fit the psyche of gamblers, saying it very easy to deposit and withdraw money automatically. The gambling games state they support the depositing of money via bank accounts, QRCode, telephone scratch cards, or via e-wallets, such as ZaloPay, ViettelPay and MoMo. Some videos explain how to pay and withdraw money from bank accounts.

Videos explain how to play Chinese dice, and gift exchange videos appear on Reels, a Facebook’s feature for short videos. 

More seriously, on Facebook, users also can see sponsored livestreams, where girls showing a lot of cleavage seek people to play the games. The livestreams are organized regularly to urge people to download links and share games in chat groups to receive codes for cash gifts.

Besides Facebook, gambling games and bets are flooding other online platforms.

A series of groups provide games with rewards such as Sunwxx and Sumvxx, with the number of players reaching tens of thousands. The games are advertised in the groups with sexy films and images.

The ‘lauxx’ system, with more than 50 groups, is an example. It advertises the 789clxx game. With support from Telegram’s automatic bot, the games can be advertised easily and appear regularly on the platform to lure more players.

Google is also an ideal place for advertising these type of games. Many pages advertising illegal gaming have turned up. In addition to pages advertising gambling, there are also the pages professionally organized, where gambling games and betting types are provided, especially football betting.

On YouTube, one can find videos advertising games such as 68gamebxx, Sunwxx and Sumvxx.

However, the websites provide pirated films, especially phimmoxx, and the websites starting with the letters ‘VL’ are the most ideal place for such ads.
