Party Chief and President To Lam highlighted that Vietnam’s stature on the global stage continues to grow, and the country is playing an increasingly active and responsible role in multilateral forums.

Vietnam is expanding cooperation across all fields, not only in state diplomacy but also in Party diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy. This cooperation spans various sectors, including economics, culture, society, security, and defense.

Although Vietnam has made significant achievements since the establishment of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam 80 years ago, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the country still faces many challenges, and development needs remain high.

The goal for 2045, which marks 100 years since the founding of the country, is for Vietnam to become a high-income industrialized nation. This is an enormous task that will require the collective efforts of the entire nation.

In this context, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that foreign affairs are of paramount importance and must be continuous and comprehensive. The ambassadors’ responsibilities span across diplomacy, economics, culture, national defense, security, and the protection of national rights and interests.

The ambassadors are not only bridges of communication but also key figures in implementing the Party and State's foreign policies. They must be at the forefront of foreign relations.

General Secretary and President To Lam urged the newly appointed ambassadors to embody the spirit of “self-reliance, confidence, independence, resilience, and national pride” while elevating Vietnam’s diplomatic efforts to match the country’s rich historical, cultural, political, and economic stature.

The ambassadors are tasked with enhancing Vietnam’s role and position in global politics, the global economy, and human civilization, laying a strong foundation to lead the country into a new era of growth and progress toward a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, and happy Vietnam, firmly advancing toward socialism.

General Secretary and President To Lam expressed his confidence that, with the Party and State’s support and their own experience, the ambassadors will continue to uphold Vietnam’s strong diplomatic tradition and successfully fulfill their assigned missions.
