VietNamNet Bridge – On the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the People's Army of Vietnam, many delegations visited General Vo Nguyen Giap.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Hai, General Vo Nguyen Giap’s secretary, the General’s health is still stable. He could receive visiting delegations for a long time. Occasionally, the General listened to his secretaries’ reports on the situation and current events.

Colonel Trinh Nguyen Huan, another secretary of General Vo Nguyen Giap, also said that the health of the legendary General remained stable.

On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of Defense, Minister Phung Quang Thanh wished General Vo Nguyen Giap good health and long life.

Minister Thanh said the General is always a great source of encouragement and the pride of the armed forces and the Vietnamese People's Army.



General Vo Nguyen Giap visited Dien Bien 2004.


General Vo Nguyen Giap expressed his gratitude and expectation that officers and soldiers of the army continue fulfilling all the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.

HCM City Party Secretary Le Thanh Hai also led a delegation to visit General Vo Nguyen Giap.

Hai emphasized that the entire Party, army and people in general and HCM City in particular always respect and remember the merits, the greatest contribution of the General to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation and the military.

General Vo Nguyen Giap expressed his thanks and shook hands with Hai.
