After the overwhelming success of the German Film Festival 2010, the festival bigger than ever continues in 2011.

From 16 September to 17 October, the Goethe-Institut will show the hottest new films from Germany in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hue, Da Nang, HCMC and Can Tho. Films by famous directors are here as well as surprising successes by young filmmakers. The stories they tell are dramatic, humorous, sad, and incredible, and sometimes all of these at once. Experience great cinema and discover Germany from new perspectives via the silver screen!

German films in 2011 are impressive for their powerful emotions and current issues. The films are about home and identity, about extraordinary love and passion, but also about friendship and responsibility. This year’s German Film Festival in Vietnam offers audiences a selection of film highlights by famous directors as well as new successful young filmmakers which captured the audience and won prizes at international film festivals.
