VietNamNet Bridge – An opera arranged by German and Austrian and performed by Vietnamese artists will debut at the Hanoi Opera House on November 14.

Tankred Dorst and his wife Ursula Ehler.
The opera is jointly organized by the Goethe Institute in Hanoi, the Vietnam Opera Ballet Theatre and the Vietnam National Music Institute. This is a highlight event in the German year in Vietnam 2010.
The opera, entitled “Man who goes through the valley”, has music composed by German author Pierre Oser, dialogue by Tankred Dorst and his wife Ursula Ehler.
“This time I composed the music for this opera for Vietnam only,” said Pierre Oser.
The opera is based on an European legend about a man named Parzival, who left his home valley to discover the world.

Director Beverley Blankenship

Composer Pierre Oser and many German artists – director Beverley Blankenship, choreographer Hans Henning Paar, Austrian stage painter Andreas Lungenschmid - arrived in Vietnam on November 1 to prepare for the show.
