German parliament would be given veto right in future government bailout plans, sources of the parliament confirmed Tuesday.

The veto right was included in a bill that is to be passed on September 29 with backing from government and major oppositions alike.

German parliament, or the Bundestag, is scheduled to vote on the same day to legitimize the expanding role of the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) in the powerhouse of Europe.

According to the previous ruling by the German constitutional court, only sanction from a special committee of the German parliament could allocate money earmarked for bailout.
