VietNamNet Bridge – Deniz Inan will join forces with the Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Do Kien Cuong for ‘Opus 2 – Kayo’s Journey’ at the Music Hall at HCMC Conservatory of Music at 8 p.m. on March 30.

The German pianist composed his first opus (About Opus One) from November 2007 to October 2010. These pieces incorporate elements of Jazz, Impressionism, New-Age and the era of High Romanticism. Since 2010, he has released two albums Opus 1 – About Opus One and Opus 2 – Kayo’s Journey.

Cuong, born in 1975 in Hanoi, graduated at Hanoi National Conservatory of Music before enrolling at Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music of the City University of New York.

In May 2010, he got a month’s grant from MIC (Music Information Centre Norway) to go to Horten, Oslo, and Bergen for a conducting training course with Norwegian conductors Thomas Rimul and Trond Korsgard.

Currently he is professor at HCMC Conservatory of Music, Troy University-STU in HCMC, HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities as well as HCMC National University.

Tickets are priced at VND200,000 and are available at the conservatory, 112 Nguyen Du Street in District 1.
