VietNamNet Bridge – German pop-rock band FOTOS will play two concerts in Hanoi on Saturday and Sunday and Haiphong on December 4 before heading to Bangkok on their Southeast Asia tour.

The Hamburg outfit will play songs from their latest album Porzellan and old classics. The tour is jointly organized by Goethe-Institute and Hanoi Youth Theatre to bring Hanoi and Haiphong students – especially those who are part of the PASCH partner school program - a chance to experience the latest rocking German tunes.

The FOTOS consists of Thomas Hessler (vocalist, guitarist), Deniz Erarslan (guitarist), Friedrich Weiss (bassist) and Benedikt Schnermann (drummer). Weiss describes the band’s creation. He said: “Four boys randomly came together and just matched really well on a musical and personal level.”

In their own way the band is mixing Indie-Rock/Pop, with German Rock and Electronic Sounds. FOTOS have existed since 2005 and have released three albums so far. They have been a huge hit in Europe, Asia and South America.

The concerts in Hanoi will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at Youth Theater, 11 Ngo Thi Nham Street and at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday at Viet Duc High-school, 47 Ly Thuong Kiet. Tickets are distributed on Tuesday at the Goethe-Institute Hanoi.

The final show will be held at 7:30 p.m. at August Theater, 117 Dinh Tien Hoang Street in Haiphong City. Tickets will be distributed on Friday at the theater.
