Audience in HCMC will have a chance to watch ten popular German movies in the past years at the Spring Cinema, hosted by the Goethe Institut in Vietnam, every Wednesday at 7 p.m. starting from February 15 to April 26 in HCMC.

The program will be kicked off with the cyber thriller Who Am I – No System Is Safe on February 15, followed by Head Full of Honey – the final adventure of Tilda and her grandfather, who is suffering from Alzheimer’s on February 22.

In the animation film Animals United – Adventure in Africa which will be screened on March 1, the animals decide it’s about time to stop the humans from destroying the planet.

 Daniel is going through a catastrophe of a very different sort when he tries to turn himself into a Macho Man which will hit the screen on March 15. 

The movie In For No Eyes Only which is set on March 22 tells a story about Sam’s webcam hacking getting him in serious trouble.

The following week, the teenage comedy Single By Contract will boost your mood on March 29. On April 5 the comedy Fack Ju Göhte tells the story of nasty students and an exceptional teacher with a criminal secret. Audience to the screening of Victoria on April 12 will trace the disturbing experiences of a group of young people in Berlin.

Last year, Facebook followers of the Goethe Institut in Vietnam voted for the best movies featured at the German film festival in Vietnam 2016. 

On the occasion, the organizer will show these movies again within this film series. 

The two most popular movies at last year’s German film festival in Vietnam, Fortune Favors the Brave – a story about an unusual friendship between three girls, and Offline – Are You Ready for the Next Level – an adventure movie in which reality and computer games mix up, will respectively hit the screen on April 19 and April 26.

The free-entrance Spring Cinema will take place at level 1 of Café Thu Bay at 19B Pham Ngoc Thach Street in HCMC’s District 3.
