At around 8 a.m., many localities across Quang Ninh experienced intense rainfall accompanied by gusty winds and stormy conditions.

Amid the downpour in Thong Nhat Commune, a large waterspout suddenly emerged, extending from the clouds down to the surface of the sea in the Cua Luc Bay area.

Many residents quickly used their mobile phones to record the phenomenon and expressed surprise at witnessing such a rare natural event firsthand.

According to local residents, the waterspout was enormous, clearly visible from a distance, and remained active for more than 10 minutes before gradually dissipating.

A representative of the Thong Nhat Commune Party Committee said the waterspout formed over the sea and, as of now, no damage has been reported.
