A 15-year-old girl fell ill after accepting a free drink from a man dressed as Santa Claus on Sunday evening at a Berlin Christmas market, local police said on Monday.

She was rushed to the hospital after suffering from vomiting. Doctors later found an unidentified substance mixed into the drink.

This is the tenth such case, in which an unidentified man in his 40s handed out alcoholic drinks to passers-by in various Berlin Christmas markets for celebrating becoming a father, since last Wednesday.

All the victims suffered dizziness and nausea, while some even lost consciousness and had to receive emergency treatment.

So far the police have failed to identify the suspect, or even make sure whether the serial assaults were committed by one person.
